Hi families! Yesterday was a long day so we apologize for the delay in post. We had a wonderful day in Madrid. After a delicious breakfast, we split into small groups and completed a scavenger hunt without the use of phones or maps. All students asked local people for directions to complete the search! After the activity, we met in Parque del Retiro, a famous (and very large) park in Madrid. We then had some lunch and boarded a bus headed south to our homestays in La Herradura. Although it was a long ride, the girls were met with smiling faces and open arms of their host families. Seen below is a photo of La Mancha at sunset, a rural area of Spain we passed through on the trip down south. More adventures to come!!!
We all gathered this morning to start our first cultural exploration of La Herradura. Lots of smiles and excitement as they started to work with Carlos and Sam.
Emma students are enjoying their first breakfast with their host families. A great way to start the first day in La Herradura.
